Incoherent Pictures (poem)

Incoherent Pictures

Incoherent pictures flash across my consciousness
rattling the silvery webs of my ancient memories
causing them to eerily dance as phantom shadows
across the dark skies of my polluted mind.

Like storm clouds upon the horizon they build and
swirl across the fields of my weary brain until they
brilliantly burst like fireworks of joy and pain to remind
me about the triumphs and defeats of I've had to
let me know that my life was worth something and
has meaning after all.
